A Vision Considered "Impossible"
Indigenous youth face unique systemic barriers when trying to access specialized higher education. When we first set our sights on opening doors in the aviation industry for our Aeta scholars, the reaction was often skepticism. To many, the goal seemed overly ambitious—even impossible.
Navigating the costs, requirements, and specialized nature of aviation education presented a daunting wall of hurdles. Yet, driven by the talent and determination of these young minds, our team spent months:
Meeting with educational institutions across the region to advocate for indigenous representation.
Drafting and refining tailored scholarship proposals.
Conducting immersive campus tours to help our scholars envision themselves in high-tech, future-ready careers.
Through every setback and closed door, we held firm to our belief in the potential of our Aeta youth.
The Breakthrough: Partnering with ALIAC
Persistence paid off when our vision aligned with an institution that shares our dedication to community development and inclusion: Air Link International Aviation College (ALIAC).
After endless meetings and tireless coordination, we secured game-changing Presidential Scholarships for our scholars.
